Get ready for an exciting pack adventure at the beautiful Garin Regional Park, this is an effort to explore some parks closer to home! This easy and fun-filled hike is perfect for Cub Scouts of all ages. Here is a short history of the area!
Our journey will follow this route:
We will begin our hike at the Garin Avenue Entrance.
Our first stop will be a walk past the Visitor Center to explore the display of historic farm equipment from the area's past.
From there, we will take a scenic path that loops around Jordan Pond.
We will continue on to Dry Creek trail
We will end the hike at Kite Field. Scouts are encouraged to bring their own kites to try and catch the breeze after our hike, this is an optional activity.
Requirement: Scout and accompanying parent must have an Annual Health Medical Record (AHMR form) on file (forms A/B1/B2) in order to hike with us. If you have not filled one out, please bring the completed form with you to the hike and hand it to Tim Wong. This applies to all scouts, siblings, and friends if they plan to hike alongside our group.
